Contact should be made earlier, and directly with those in charge of computers or seminars rather than busy program directors. (As all programs now know that this project exists, some timing problems will be alleviated.)
Ideally a detailed written agreement should be obtained from providing companies (SGI, Alias, and any others we approach) as early as possible, so that seminar organizers can be provided these details, confirmed.
Seminar organizers would benefit from use of the SGI and, if applicable, Alias software before the program to allow familiarization time.
Digital video cameras would make teleconferencing a possibility, and also facilitate greater exposure on the Internet. Further moves toward exploiting the Internet to improve contact between programs should be considered.
